Hosting a private cinema screening is a great way to celebrate a birthday party. Why not surprise a special somebody with a screening of their favourite film?
Just book a private cinema as usual by clicking ‘BOOK NOW’ on our home page. Like all bookings, you are welcome to arrive up to 15 minutes before your scheduled screening time. We will show you into the cinema 5 minutes before your screening time begins. The cinema will close 20 minutes after your screening session ends.
You are welcome to BYO birthday cake, but no other outside food or drink is allowed on the premises. We supply a knife for cutting the cake & plates/ serviettes/ forks. Birthday cake can not be eaten in the cinema as it gets messy. You can cut & eat cake at one of our booths outside of the cinema before, during your 7 minute intermission or after your screening.
Our menu is available on the ‘food & drinks’ page of our website. You can order food & drinks 30 days in advance via the link on the home page, or order upon arrival at the cinema. Food & drinks can be ordered at any time & delivered to your cinema by using the QR code located at each seat. Last pizza orders 8.30pm.
KID’S PARTIES
We have 2 kid’s party sessions each week – Saturdays 12.30pm-3pm & Sundays 11.30am-2pm. We also open up sessions on school holidays 12pm-2.30pm Monday-Friday.
We only allow kid’s aged 7-15 to attend. Younger siblings are welcome to attend however. If you are celebrating an 8th birthday, all guests will need to be 7 or older.
All kid’s parties are booked as a package which includes a small popcorn and a soft drink/ juice for each guest served in the cinema when the film starts + film licensing from the Roadshow catalogue https://ppl.roadshow.com.au/collection/gr1044-Family%20. The kid’s party package is $399. You can add half an hour of unlimited Margherita pizza @ $15 per guest attending. Choc tops are also a popular add-on. You can invite up to 22 guests, including an adult to supervise guests in the cinema. The price remains at $399 whether you bring 1 or 22 guests.

There is a 15 minute intermission approximately half way through the film that can be used to cut and eat the cake. It’s also a good opportunity for guests to stretch their legs, open presents and use the bathroom.
Popcorn, drinks & packaged cinema snacks can be eaten in the cinema, however pizza & cake needs to be eaten outside of the cinema at our booths (pizza & cake can get messy in the cinema!)
No decorations are permitted, however we can organise a special birthday introduction to play before the film starts, wishing the special guest a happy birthday at no extra charge. Just email hello@henkelstreetcinema.com.au with a PDF file that can be played on the screen before the film starts.
Please note that you need to have at least one adult parent or guardian present at all times in the cinema to oversee the kids. For their safety, we ask that they don’t run around or go near technical equipment, including the screen itself. You are liable to pay for any equipment damage or out of the ordinary cleaning costs that may arise during your screening.
Parents & guardians are welcome to relax at one of our booths during the screening & order food & drinks.
Example of timing for a kid’s party based on a 12pm start:
12pm: Guests/ parents/ guardians arrive at the cinema
If you’ve ordered unlimited Pizzas for your guests, these will start to be served at 12pm. We will bring out Margherita pizzas until everyone is full!
12.30pm: Guests can enter cinema 1
12.35pm: Film starts
1:20pm – 1:35pm: Intermission (cake cutting, opening presents)
1:35pm: Film resumes
2:30pm: Party finishes. Parents/guardians arrive to pickup guests.
