BIRTHDAY PARTIES FOR GROWN-UPS

Hosting a private cinema screening is a great way to celebrate a birthday party. Why not surprise a special somebody with a screening of their favourite film?

Just book a Private Cinema in the usual way. Like most bookings, you are welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes before your scheduled screening time.

You are welcome to BYO birthday cake, but no other outside food or drink is allowed on the premises. We supply a knife for cutting the cake & plates/ serviettes/ forks. Birthday cake can not be eaten in the cinema as it gets messy! You can cut & eat cake at one of our booths outside of the cinema before, during your 7 minute intermission or after your screening.

Our menu is available on the ‘food & drinks’ page of our website. You can order food & drinks 30 days in advance via the link on the home page, or order upon arrival at the cinema. Food & drinks can be ordered at any time & delivered to your cinema by using the QR code located near each seat.

KIDS PARTIES

We have 1 kid’s party session available every Sunday from 11.30am-2pm in Cinema 1 (our biggest Cinema)

We only allow kids aged 7-15 to attend. Younger siblings are welcome to attend however. If you are celebrating a 7th birthday, all guests will need to be 7 or older.

All kids parties include the hire of the full venue (no other bookings in the other cinema will take place during this time). Also included is film licensing from the Roadshow catalogue.

Kids party screenings are $249. You can add food to be served upon arrival by pre-ordering here, as well as popcorn, choc tops, lollies, drinks to be served during the film.

You can invite up to 22 guests, including an adult to supervise guests in the cinema. The price remains at $249 whether you bring 2 or 22 guests.

You are welcome to BYO birthday cake to eat after the screening, but no other outside food or drink is allowed on the premises. We will refrigerate your cake if necessary ready for serving time. Lollie bags/ party gifts can be handed out at the end of the party to take home. We supply a knife for cutting the cake, as well as plates/ serviettes/ forks/ lighter for candles.

Popcorn, drinks & packaged cinema snacks can be eaten in the cinema, however pizza, chips, arancini & birthday cake need to be eaten outside of the cinema at one of our booths (pizza & cake can get messy in the cinema!)

No decorations are permitted, however we can organise a special birthday introduction to play before the film starts, wishing the special guest a happy birthday at no extra charge. Just email hello@henkelstreetcinema.com.au with a PDF file or dropbox a video file (.mp4) that can be played on the screen before the film starts. Please keep any videos to 5 minutes or under.

Please note that you need to have at least one adult parent or guardian present at all times in the cinema to oversee the guests. For their safety, we ask that they don’t run around or go near technical equipment, including the screen itself. You are liable to pay for any equipment damage or out of the ordinary cleaning costs that may arise during your screening.

Parents & guardians are welcome to relax at one of our booths during the screening & order food & drinks.

Example of a kid’s party:

11.30am: Guests arrive at the cinema. Please note - Doors will not be open before 11.30am for parents/guardians to come early.

If you’ve ordered hot food like pizza for your guests, these will start to be served at 11.30am.

11.55am: Guests can enter Cinema 1. If you have pre-ordered popcorn, choc tops, lollies, drinks, they will be served to guests in the cinema. Pre-order here

1.30pm/1.45pm: Film finishes (depending on length of film)

1.30/1.45pm-2pm: Cake cutting & eating, opening presents.

We require guests & parents/ guardians to leave the premises at 2pm so we can clean and prepare for the next screening. There are outdoor booths and a picnic table outside to wait for parents/guardians to arrive after 2pm.

*If your film choice runs longer than 105 minutes, the film can begin before 12pm to allow time to cut cake at the end of the film. You will want to allow at least 15 minutes to cut cake at the end of the film.
